A journalist with MITV, Habeeb Adejobi, says he was assaulted on March 11 while covering a screening event at Lagos’s Kosofe Local Government Secretariat, allegedly by individuals linked to the local government chairman’s office, including his driver.

Adejobi claims he was beaten with a plank and attacked by NSCDC officers after refusing to hand over his camera, was taken to a police station where his phone was seized, and later released for medical treatment.
