A housecleaner testified she bought fentanyl for Kouri Richins, who is accused of killing her husband with a fentanyl-laced sandwich.
A housecleaner, Carmen Lauber, testified in the trial of Kouri Richins that she purchased prescription pills, including fentanyl, at Richins’ request four times in early 2022, including one batch bought from a man at a gas station.
She said she delivered the drugs to Richins’ home and later expressed shock upon learning they may have been used to kill her husband, Eric, who died with five times the lethal dose of fentanyl in his system.
Lauber, who received immunity for her testimony, said Richins claimed Eric died from a brain aneurysm and that she felt compelled to speak out.
Prosecutors allege Richins killed Eric with a fentanyl-laced sandwich, possibly on Valentine’s Day, and that Richins continued buying drugs after the murder.
