BAFTA judge Jonte Richardson has resigned from the emerging talent panel, calling the organization’s response to a racial slur uttered by Tourette’s campaigner John Davidson during the 2026 Film Awards “utterly unforgivable.” The slur, spoken involuntarily during a live presentation by Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo, was broadcast without editing and sparked widespread criticism.
