The Asia-Pacific Regional IAU Meeting (APRIM2026), dubbed the “Olympics of Astrophysics and Space Science,” will take place in Hong Kong from May 4 to 8, 2026, marking its first visit to the city.

Hosted by the University of Hong Kong’s Laboratory for Space Research and organized by the International Astronomical Union, the event will gather nearly 1,000 global experts, including Nobel and Shaw laureates, to discuss astrophysics, planetary science, and space sustainability.
