2026年2月1日,来自香港13所学校的190多名中学生开始了一年长的STEAM计划,准备在2027年公开展示罕见的长尾骨. Over 190 secondary students from 13 Hong Kong schools began a year-long STEAM programme on February 1, 2026, to prepare a rare Longman’s beaked whale skeleton for public display in 2027. 该项目由Lingnan大学牵头,与包括香港理工大学和海洋公园保护基金会在内的合作伙伴共同牵头,利用2024年的捕鲸活动,教授学生骨架准备、科学和保护。 Led by Lingnan University with partners including The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Ocean Park Conservation Foundation, the project uses the 2024 whale stranding to teach students skeleton preparation, science, and conservation. 活动包括实践工作、讲座和艺术,旨在提高人们对塑料污染等海洋威胁的认识。 Activities include hands-on work, lectures, and art, aiming to raise awareness about marine threats like plastic pollution. 2027年将举办两次展览,展示鲸鱼和当地物种,包括一个在其胃部发现的塑料袋。 Two exhibitions in 2027 will feature the whale and local species, including a plastic-filled bag found in its stomach.
