Two Western Australian seafood companies, Sea Harvest and Westmore Seafoods, have sued the state government over a permanent ban on demersal trawling in the Pilbara, claiming the move was made without proper consultation, lacks scientific backing, and unfairly harms regional jobs, food supply, and foreign investments.
