Australia’s Assistant Minister for Productivity, Andrew Leigh, is driving a nationwide effort—supported unanimously by all states and territories—to introduce stronger consumer protection laws targeting deceptive corporate practices such as hidden fees, inflated prices, and unfair warranty terms.
