The AILPA 2025 exhibition in Kolkata, held October 28–30, highlighted the city’s emergence as a global hub for leather goods, with organizers aiming to establish it as India’s “Bag Capital.” Over 80 international buyers from Europe, the Middle East, Russia, and Australia attended, drawn by the region’s shift to sustainable, design-driven, and export-ready manufacturing.
