On October 24, 2025, Project Arunank of India’s Border Roads Organisation celebrated its 18th Raising Day, highlighting 17 years of infrastructure progress in Arunachal Pradesh.

The project has built over 696 km of roads and 1.18 km of major bridges, including the first blacktopped road in the region since Independence—the 278-km Hapoli-Sarli-Huri Road—upgraded to national highway standards.
