The Dr. Fred Starr Branch 76 Royal Canadian Legion in Sudbury has launched a commemorative banner initiative to honor residents who have served or are serving in Canada’s military, RCMP, Coast Guard, or Merchant Marine.

Now the 47th Ontario community to adopt the program, Sudbury displays weather-resistant banners along The Kingsway and downtown Minto Street starting October 1, each featuring a veteran’s photo, name, service branch, and campaigns.
