Ghana's Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwame Agbodza, has disputed the previous government's claim of building over 10,000 kilometers of roads, stating that many of the reported projects were either unfinished or in poor condition.
Agbodza emphasized the current administration's focus on improving road infrastructure, including dualizing highways and expanding urban roads, to reduce traffic fatalities and serve underserved rural areas.
The minister also stressed the need for better emergency infrastructure like dedicated lanes and pedestrian paths to enhance safety and emergency response times.
