India's Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced a new scheme offering cashless treatment to road accident victims, covering up to INR 1.5 lakh for seven days.

The scheme, to be rolled out nationwide by March, requires accidents to be reported within 24 hours and will be managed by the National Health Authority.
